Overview
We seek a Senior Land Surveyor to lead land surveying and right-of-way projects in Lanham MD. This role involves topographic boundary and ALTA surveys metes and bounds preparation easements client communication and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will drive project success while delivering precision and timeliness.
What You'll Do9
- 1Design Build and deliver topographic boundary surveys within 90 day timeline
- 2Lead ALTA surveys and as-built documentation for residential commercial developments
- 3Prepare metes and bounds descriptions and easements for legal purposes
- 4Coordinate with clients and municipal authorities to resolve right-of-way issues
- 5Utilize AutoCAD and Microstation to create accurate site plans
- 6Maintain detailed records of fieldwork and documentation
- 7Train junior staff on survey methodologies and software tools
- 8Ensure compliance with state and federal mapping standards
- 9Drive continuous improvement in survey workflows
Requirements6
- 15+ years progressive experience in survey management residential or commercial projects
- 2Proficiency in AutoCAD with optional Microstation experience
- 3Registered Land Surveyor license in Maryland preferred
- 4Strong knowledge of Montgomery County MD regulations and public agency codes
- 5Excellent oral and written communication skills
- 6Associate degree in surveying or related field preferred
