Overview

You will own all accounting, billing, and receipts for Reading Community Education, managing 5,000+ transactions annually across BASE, Driver's Ed, and Adult Ed. You will support registration and customer service for all programs, working closely with the Finance Office and vendors. This role combines MUNIS expertise with direct family communication, making every dollar and every interaction count. What You'll Do9

  • 1Record all cash, check, and credit card payments and deposits in MUNIS, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • 2Resolve billing discrepancies and communicate with families regarding overdue accounts, maintaining clear records.
  • 3Process weekly payroll batches (2) for bi-weekly payroll, cross-referencing timesheets by site.
  • 4Prepare weekly check and cash deposits for the Finance Office, including refund requests and FSA letters.
  • 5Generate accounts receivable reports and monitor monthly tuition billings, adjusting for schedule changes.
  • 6Input student data into Child Care Manager and manage the financial aid process, tracking aid by source.
  • 7Process all supply requests, purchase orders, and vendor requisition orders in MUNIS.
  • 8Organize annual registration packets and input student information, ensuring data integrity.
  • 9Greet customers, answer phones, and provide frontline support for all program inquiries.

Requirements8

  • 1High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred.
  • 22+ years of office management or secretarial experience, ideally in a school or community setting.
  • 3Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MyRec registration software, and MUNIS.
  • 4CPR and first aid certifications required or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • 5Basic understanding of child development theory and principles.
  • 6Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality regarding student records and state reporting requirements.
  • 7Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a patient, receptive attitude toward children and families.
  • 8Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and use behavior management techniques as needed.
