Overview
Owns clinical instruction for pre-licensure nursing students in the Phoenix area with travel to student sites for performance observation. Collaborates with faculty to evaluate and document student progress toward clinical objectives. Supports grading of written work and clinical performance, staying current with nursing practice trends. - 1Build and reinforce didactic and clinical content for pre-licensure nursing students
- 2Collaborate with content area faculty to evaluate student progress toward clinical objectives
- 3Grade written work and clinical performance checkoffs
- 4Remain current with trends and development in nursing practice
- 5Travel to GCU student sites to directly observe student performance
- 6Support university program alignment with institutional philosophy and service to the community
- 7Provide positive role modeling by upholding the Doctrinal and Ethical statements and mission of GCU
- 8Support program accreditation requirements and maintain compliance
- 9Maintain evidence-based practice and deliver high-quality clinical education
- 10Assist in program activities and contribute to community outreach
Requirements6
- 1Bachelor's in nursing
- 23 years of recent direct Critical Care nursing experience
- 3Active, current, unencumbered RN license (Arizona or multi-state compact)
- 4Graduate program enrollment or relevant national certification for clinical area of teaching
- 5Ability to pass drug test and competency testing
- 6Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students
