Accounts Payable Manager, Minerals & ERP
Overview
Lead Mariana Minerals' accounts payable operations, building a scalable, technology-enabled procure-to-pay function. You will own invoice processing across multiple entities, manage vendor relationships, and drive automation with Odoo and NetSuite. Reporting to the Finance leadership, you'll mentor a high-performing AP team while collaborating with Procurement, Operations, and Treasury. This role stands out for its focus on continuous improvement and implementing AP automation tools at a software-first minerals company.
What You'll Do8
- 1Supervise daily invoice processing and three-way matching of purchase orders, goods receipts, and vendor invoices in ERP systems.
- 2Coordinate weekly payment proposals with Treasury to optimize working capital and vendor terms.
- 3Serve as the primary escalation point for vendor inquiries and resolve payment disputes with Procurement and Operations.
- 4Oversee vendor onboarding, including W-9 and W-8 forms, banking details, and insurance certificates, and manage vendor credit applications.
- 5Develop and train AP staff, setting performance targets and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- 6Automate invoice processing and approval workflows using OCR technology and ERP configurations.
- 7Document standard operating procedures and enforce internal controls, segregation of duties, and audit requirements.
- 8Track and report key AP metrics like invoice cycle time, backlog, and approval aging to drive efficiency.
Requirements8
- 15+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, with 2+ years supervising AP staff.
- 2Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 3Experience in manufacturing, mining, or energy industries preferred.
- 4Strong knowledge of procure-to-pay, invoice matching, and vendor management.
- 5Proficiency with Odoo or NetSuite is preferred.
- 6Hands-on experience with AP automation platforms and OCR tools is highly desirable.
- 7Deep understanding of internal controls, segregation of duties, and financial compliance.
- 8Demonstrated success implementing process improvements and automation initiatives.
Salary Insight
$80 - $110k per year
