Own full-cycle payroll processing for 250+ employees across Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable at a Vancouver, WA company. Report directly to the Accounting Manager. Deliver accurate financial records and seamless internal customer service. This role stands out with semi-monthly payroll cycles and audit exposure, including W-2 and 1099 preparation.
What You'll Do9
- 1Process semi-monthly payroll, including timesheet audits and payroll discrepancy resolution.
- 2Manage accounts payable and receivable activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- 3Prepare and record journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
- 4Perform account reconciliations and review bank deposits for accuracy.
- 5Prepare payroll, financial, and tax-related reports, including W-2s, 1099s, and state reporting requirements.
- 6Maintain vendor records and track purchase orders.
- 7Assist with internal and external audits by gathering documentation and supporting compliance.
- 8Respond to finance-related inquiries from employees, vendors, and internal departments.
- 9Drive process improvements to streamline accounting operations.
Requirements10
- 1Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 23+ years of accounting experience; 5+ years preferred.
- 3Hands-on experience with payroll processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- 4Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- 5Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- 6Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- 7Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with professionalism.
- 8Preferred: Experience preparing W-2s, 1099s, and other payroll tax reporting.
- 9Preferred: Experience supporting financial or operational audits.
- 10Preferred: Familiarity with accounting software and financial management systems.
