Accounting Clerk, High School Bookstore & School District Operations
Overview
Own school bookstore financial operations and student activity accounting at Shadow Mountain High School. Manage funds, receipts, and reporting for student activities and events at scale across the campus. Collaborate with the Bookstore Manager and district finance teams to ensure accurate records and compliant disbursements. This role differs through direct interaction with student-centered activities and campus programs.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain financial records for student activities and events to ensure completeness and regulatory compliance
- 2Compile financial information related to site activities for documentation and processing
- 3Reconcile student account data to maintain accurate balances and uphold accounting practices
- 4Monitor procedures with student activities, clubs, athletics, and the bookstore to ensure consistency
- 5Process orders and purchase-related paperwork to support campus operations
- 6Prepare financial materials and reports detailing activity revenue, gifts, and grants
- 7Respond to inquiries from staff, students, and administration regarding financial procedures
- 8Collaborate in site admin meetings and training to improve financial workflows
- 9Support the Bookstore Manager in day-to-day financial operations
- 10Perform other duties as assigned to ensure efficient site financial management
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2Experience in basic bookkeeping and financial recordkeeping
- 3Ability to read manuals, perform basic math, and prepare documents according to prescribed formats
- 4Knowledge of bookkeeping principles and basic computer applications
- 5Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
