Overview

The Academic Program Coordinator II oversees the Longitudinal Advanced Skills and Professional Development courses within the M3/M4 curriculum. This role ensures smooth operation of academic programs and serves as a primary point of contact for students and faculty.

What You'll Do14

  • 1Coordinate course scheduling room reservations and development of materials while collaborating with faculty and guest speakers
  • 2Monitor student attendance assignment completion and skill assessments to guarantee curriculum compliance
  • 3Manage concurrent course activities throughout the academic year resolving scheduling conflicts and operational challenges
  • 4Act as primary contact for students and faculty addressing course-related questions and issues
  • 5Provide academic and operational support across the MD program including classroom support and examination proctoring
  • 6Coordinate student housing logistics and partner with operational teams to ensure accommodation readiness
  • 7Support additional academic programs adapting to evolving departmental needs
  • 8Recruit and maintain faculty participation in teaching mentoring and advising activities
  • 9Foster strong faculty relationships and manage recognition programs including spotlight features and awards
  • 10Develop faculty spotlight content through interviews and prepare communications for various publications
  • 11Maintain user accounts in educational systems such as OASIS Aquifer and WISE while troubleshooting access issues
  • 12Perform technical and administrative support for faculty staff and students using academic systems
  • 13Coordinate the annual course lottery process handling system setup student communications and result distribution
  • 14Handle student placement and lottery administration resolving inquiries and special requests

Requirements11

  • 1Bachelor`s or Master`s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination per Fla. Stat. 112.219(6)
  • 2Demonstrated experience as a Program Coordinator or similar administrative leadership role
  • 3Proven project management skills including planning organizing implementing and monitoring multiple projects
  • 4Experience in a medical or healthcare setting particularly within higher education
  • 5Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities for diverse audiences
  • 6Strong attention to detail ensuring accuracy quality and consistency in managing assignments and processes
  • 7Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities while maintaining high performance
  • 8Reliability professionalism and accountability with proven dependability and punctuality
  • 9Proficiency in computer applications and quick learning of new software databases and systems
  • 10Bachelor`s or Master`s degree with 5+ years of experience building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
  • 11Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
