We seek a skilled CNC Mill and/or Lathe Machinist for our 2nd Shift team in Northern Chicago. This full-time position offers competitive pay and benefits while providing opportunities for growth and stability.
What You'll Do11
- 1Design Build and Optimize CNC programs using G and M code
- 2Perform setup and troubleshooting on vertical lathes and mills
- 3Read technical drawings and translate specifications into machine operations
- 4Maintain equipment and ensure precision through regular calibration
- 5Collaborate with engineering team to develop innovative manufacturing solutions
- 6Lead projects that improve production efficiency and reduce cycle times
- 7Train new hires on machining processes and safety protocols
- 8Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement
- 9Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance workflow
- 10Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
- 11Contribute ideas for shop culture and employee development
Requirements11
- 15+ years experience with CNC milling and turning operations
- 23-5 Axis capabilities with Fanuc Siemens or Okuma controllers
- 3Proficiency in reading blueprints and creating detailed machining instructions
