Youth Development Professional, After-School Program
Overview
As a Youth Development Professional, you will own the daily operations of our after-school program for up to 100 members, ensuring a safe and engaging environment. You will implement a national curriculum and collaborate with the Club Director to deliver impactful programming. This role offers the chance to mentor youth and build meaningful relationships, with the support of a dedicated team. Your work directly contributes to the positive development of young people in the Annapolis community.
What You'll Do9
- 1Create a welcoming environment that promotes program participation and provides guidance to members.
- 2Plan and implement a range of program services and activities for drop-in members and visitors.
- 3Maintain a healthy, safe environment by ensuring facilities, equipment, and supplies are in good condition.
- 4Manage administrative systems by registering new members and participating in their orientation.
- 5Monitor and evaluate programs, services, and activities to ensure safety, quality, and appearance of the Club.
- 6Communicate daily with the Club Director to coordinate activities before member arrival.
- 7Collect documentation (sign-in sheets, surveys) to demonstrate program goals are met and share data with the Club Director.
- 8Supervise assigned club members, provide feedback, and identify developmental opportunities.
- 9Clean assigned Club spaces and oversee youth during E-Learning sessions.
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2Experience working with children in a group setting.
- 3Knowledge of youth development principles.
- 4Ability to motivate and engage youth.
- 5Strong oral and written communication skills.
- 6Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.
- 7Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
- 8Valid state driver's license if applicable.
Salary Insight
$15 - $17k per year
