What You'll Do8
- 1Greet customers and assist with loading materials, ensuring orders are accurate and secure.
- 2Pull, stage, and prepare materials for pickup or delivery, using forklifts to move heavy loads.
- 3Operate forklifts safely, following all company safety policies and procedures.
- 4Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment, removing debris and organizing stock.
- 5Follow daily safety checks on equipment and report any issues to the supervisor.
- 6Support general yard and warehouse operations, including inventory restocking and order assembly.
- 7Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks, verifying counts and material condition.
- 8Communicate with customers and team members to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Requirements8
- 11+ years of forklift operation experience in a warehouse or lumberyard setting.
- 2Ability to safely lift 50+ lbs on a regular basis, including overhead lifting.
- 3Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check, physical, and drug screening.
- 4Comfort working in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- 5Basic reading, writing, and math skills for order verification and inventory tasks.
- 6Strong attention to safety and detail, with a customer-first mindset.
- 7Previous experience in a customer service or team-based environment.
- 8Familiarity with building materials is preferred but not required.
