Xeikon Print Operator Nights Dallas
Overview
You will run Xeikon digital presses on a 12-hour night shift, managing data manipulation, job initiation, and laser printing to meet customer deadlines. You will work with Facility Managers and Production Supervisors to ensure smooth workflow, minimize waste, and maintain quality standards. This role demands multitasking across multiple printers and precise record-keeping. What You'll Do9
- 1Manipulate data on the computer network to initiate jobs for production on Xeikon laser printers, staging printed jobs for smooth transition through production.
- 2Print accurately and efficiently while following daily job schedules, managing multiple printers simultaneously to process current runs, re-runs, and start new customer work.
- 3Communicate with Facility Managers and Production Supervisors to handle customer directives, deliveries, changes, emergencies, and special file issues.
- 4Log time and materials in the ERP system, maintaining work order records and organizing the system for accuracy.
- 5Monitor print quality by sampling, viewing, and checking jobs, ensuring standards are met; place service calls for Xeikon equipment maintenance.
- 6Maintain inventory levels and pre-printed items in warehouse and shelving, ensuring correct placement to support production.
- 7Alert supervisors when customer data arrives late, enabling timely notifications and decisions.
- 8Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work area, using required PPE and following safety rules.
- 9May work overtime or alternate shifts as needed to meet production demands.
Requirements9
- 1High school diploma or GED required.
- 2Ability to stand for 2/3 to full shift daily, lift 50 pounds regularly, and use hands for handling and feeling.
- 3Close vision (clear at 20 inches or less) and color vision to identify and distinguish colors.
- 4Experience with Xeikon or similar digital printing equipment preferred.
- 5Proficiency in ERP systems for logging time and materials.
- 6Strong attention to detail for quality control and data accuracy.
- 7Commitment to safety protocols and PPE use.
- 8Ability to work night shift and flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
