Overview
We seek a Workers’ Compensation Attorney with at least one year of experience in California workers’ compensation law. This onsite role in Oakland involves managing a full caseload and leading a team of case managers. It offers a leadership path within a high-volume practice.
What You'll Do9
- 1Manage a full caseload of workers’ compensation matters from inception through resolution
- 2Negotiate and settle active cases
- 3Appear at hearings conferences depositions and trials as needed
- 4Supervise and direct a team of case managers
- 5Review case manager work to ensure accuracy timeliness and proper progression
- 6Communicate with clients adjusters opposing counsel and medical providers
- 7Draft pleadings motions and settlement documents
- 8Evaluate cases and lead settlement negotiations
- 9Ensure compliance with WCAB procedures deadlines and internal workflows
Requirements7
- 1Active California Bar license
- 2Minimum one year workers’ compensation experience
- 3Strong knowledge of WCAB procedures and California labor code
- 4Prior supervision or mentoring experience is a plus
- 5Leadership communication and organizational skills
- 6Ability to manage high-volume caseload while overseeing support staff
- 7Bilingual Spanish is a plus
Salary Insight
