Overview

You will support two or more attorneys in workers' compensation defense at Levy Sibley Foreman & Speir, managing cases from intake to resolution in a high-volume civil litigation practice. You will own the full lifecycle of case management using Orion and FileVine, handling discovery, scheduling, and document production for insurers and employers. This role sits on a collaborative team of paralegals and attorneys who value precision and deadlines. You will work onsite in Atlanta, Georgia, with direct exposure to complex workers' compensation litigation.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Receive and prepare new cases, including initial file organization and docketing of deadlines in Orion and Outlook.
  • 2Record daily time entries into Orion and maintain case summaries in FileVine.
  • 3Prepare discovery requests and responses from opposing counsel, ensuring timely exchange.
  • 4Scan and file discovery, pleadings, and medical records into the case management system.
  • 5Schedule depositions and mediations, and prepare notices for all parties.
  • 6Conduct online research, including criminal records and background checks.
  • 7Prepare documents for production pursuant to discovery requests.
  • 8Calendar hearings, depositions, mediations, and pre-trial agreements using ICMS and other tools.
  • 9Review the daily calendar with attorneys and lead weekly case list meetings.
  • 10Prepare stipulations, releases, affidavits, witness lists, and subpoenas.

Requirements8

  • 1Knowledge of WordPerfect and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 2Experience with case management software such as FileVine.
  • 3Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • 4Experience supporting at least two attorneys in a legal setting.
  • 5Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • 6Familiarity with workers' compensation litigation procedures.
  • 7Proficiency in docketing and calendar management tools.
  • 8Ability to perform legal research and background checks.
