Workday Techno-Functional Consultant (HCM/Integrations)
Overview
You will own the full lifecycle of Workday implementations, enhancements, and integrations for an enterprise partner in New York. You will combine deep functional knowledge of Workday business processes with hands-on technical configuration and XML and XSLT integration work. You will join a collaborative team of consultants and work directly with clients to optimize their Workday environment. This role demands a balance of client-facing communication and technical precision, with clear pathways to lead complex projects.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and configure Workday business processes, including HCM, Payroll, and Absence modules, to meet client requirements.
- 2Build and maintain Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Web Services to connect with third-party systems.
- 3Troubleshoot and resolve Workday integration issues, using XML, XSLT, and Workday reporting tools to deliver data accuracy.
- 4Drive requirement gathering and solution design sessions, translating business needs into Workday-based solutions.
- 5Lead the testing and deployment of Workday releases and updates, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- 6Document technical designs, configuration guides, and support procedures for client teams.
- 7Collaborate with functional consultants to align technical solutions with Workday best practices.
- 8Provide post-production support and continuous improvement recommendations for Workday modules.
Requirements8
- 15+ years of experience as a Workday consultant with both functional and technical expertise.
- 2Hands-on configuration of Workday HCM and Payroll modules, including business process and validation rule setup.
- 3Experience building Workday integrations with Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and REST/SOAP APIs.
- 4Expert-level proficiency in XML, XSLT, and Workday Report Writer to produce data extracts.
- 5Familiarity with Workday security model to configure role-based access and user provisioning.
- 6Workday Integration Certification or Workday HCM Certification preferred.
- 7Ability to manage multiple priorities in a client-facing environment, with strong communication skills.
- 8Existing eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship required.
Salary Insight
$73 - $83k per year
