Overview

What You'll Do8

  • 1Deliver comprehensive women’s health services including preventive care, gynecologic exams, contraception management, and reproductive health counseling.
  • 2Perform well-woman exams, Pap smears, breast exams, and routine screenings within the first 90 days.
  • 3Diagnose and manage common gynecologic conditions and women’s health concerns.
  • 4Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and lab results.
  • 5Educate patients on family planning, prenatal and postnatal care, menopause management, and lifestyle changes.
  • 6Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians, primary care providers, and clinical staff to coordinate high-quality care.
  • 7Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR system.
  • 8Participate in care coordination, quality improvement initiatives, and population health efforts.

Requirements8

  • 1Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN or DNP) with a women’s health focus.
  • 2Active or eligible New York State WHNP license and national certification required.
  • 3Prior women’s health or OB/GYN experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
  • 4Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • 5Effective communication and patient education abilities.
  • 6Proficiency with EHR systems and documentation.
  • 7Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • 8Commitment to preventive care and continuity of care.
