Overview

You take full ownership of daily Wire Shop operations, directing Manufacturing Leads and Technicians to hit safety, quality, and delivery targets. At Bridgeways in Seattle, you lead a team building aerospace and space wiring assemblies. You serve as the technical expert, driving IPC standards and AS9100 compliance. This role blends hands-on leadership with process improvement and customer audits. You will shape production flow and develop your team from day one.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Direct daily Wire Shop operations, setting priorities and assigning work to Manufacturing Leads and Technicians.
  • 2Coach and develop team members through onboarding, cross-training, and performance reviews to build workforce flexibility.
  • 3Monitor labor utilization, throughput, and productivity metrics, adjusting staffing to meet production schedules.
  • 4Remove operational barriers in work-in-process and escalate issues impacting safety, quality, or customer commitments.
  • 5Serve as the technical resource, troubleshooting production issues and recommending tooling or process improvements.
  • 6Implement IPC standards and support AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality systems through audits and corrective actions.
  • 7Review new jobs for manufacturability, support RFQ estimates, and coordinate production readiness for new product introductions.
  • 8Participate in customer audits and facility tours, presenting production status and KPIs to leadership.
  • 9Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and meet departmental budget goals.

Requirements9

  • 15+ years in electrical manufacturing with 2+ years leading manufacturing teams.
  • 2Aerospace or space manufacturing experience preferred.
  • 3Hands-on knowledge of IPC standards for wiring and cable assemblies.
  • 4Working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • 5Experience with new product introductions and process improvement projects.
  • 6Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems (ProShop preferred).
  • 7Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • 8Strong analytical skills for production metrics and labor efficiency.
  • 9Commitment to safety and quality in a manufacturing floor environment.
