Overview
You will run circular weaving looms at Puck's Angier, NC plant, producing high-quality materials on a Monday-Friday 3:00 PM-11:30 PM shift. You will keep creels loaded, inspect output, and hit production goals with minimal supervision. The team is hands-on and safety-focused, adhering to OSHA rules. This role suits a quick learner who enjoys problem-solving and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do9
- 1Operate and maintain circular weaving looms to meet production targets.
- 2Change weft bobbins and load/ maintain creels holding wrap yarn.
- 3Inspect woven material for defects and report issues to the A-Weaver.
- 4Complete work orders accurately and on time with minimal supervision.
- 5Keep work areas and equipment clean and orderly.
- 6Follow OSHA and Puck safety rules at all times.
- 7Adhere to Puck's Quality Assurance Program as directed by team leader.
- 8Enter transactions in the ERP system and record time accurately.
- 9Operate a forklift when needed.
Requirements9
- 13-6 months of related experience or training, or high school diploma/GED.
- 2Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, twist, crouch, and crawl.
- 3Capability to lift and move up to 25-50 pounds regularly.
- 4Comfort working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to fumes, oil, grease, and vibration.
- 5Willingness to work near moving mechanical parts and tolerate loud noise.
- 6Basic math and reading skills for work orders and ERP data entry.
- 7Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- 8Adaptability to changing production needs.
- 9Commitment to safety and quality standards.
