Overview

You will operate drilling equipment to install deep anode beds, ensuring well integrity and sustainability for ONEMESA projects across the U.S. You will join a skilled field crew, collaborating with engineers and project managers on corrosion control solutions. This role demands expertise in drilling techniques and safety protocols, with extensive travel and per diem provided. CDL is required, and water well driller certification is preferred.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Operate drill rigs for deep anode bed installation, including mud mixing, pump operations, and hole logging.
  • 2Drive equipment to and from job sites, ensuring safe transport and adherence to CDL regulations.
  • 3Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • 4Collaborate with team members and communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to supervisors.
  • 5Adhere to OSHA and site-specific PPE and safety requirements, including wearing protective gear daily.
  • 6Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and drilling equipment.
  • 7Document drilling activities and maintain accurate logs for each well.
  • 8Respond quickly to dangerous situations and adapt to changing site conditions.
  • 9Assist with rig setup and teardown, including lifting and carrying equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • 10Cross-train on multiple rig types to increase operational flexibility.

Requirements9

  • 1Valid driver's license and CDL with acceptable driving record.
  • 22+ years experience operating water well drilling rigs, with proficiency in mud mixing and pump operations.
  • 3Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices for drilling operations.
  • 4Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in confined spaces.
  • 5Comfortable working outdoors in extreme weather conditions and around heavy machinery.
  • 6Strong mechanical aptitude for equipment repair and maintenance.
  • 7Willingness to travel extensively, with assignments lasting multiple weeks at a time.
  • 8Preferred: Certification as a Water Well Driller or equivalent state licensing.
  • 9Preferred: Experience with multiple rig types and drilling situations.
