R-2 Contractors seeks a skilled Utility-Scale Vertical Drilling Superintendent to lead field operations for drilled pier foundation construction across the United States. This field leadership role involves planning, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of foundation construction while developing high-performing teams and ensuring safety efficiency and schedule adherence.
What You'll Do13
- 1Lead all field operations for utility-scale drilled pier foundation construction projects
- 2Plan and coordinate manpower drilling equipment tooling materials subcontractors and production schedules
- 3Supervise superintendents foremen drill operators and field personnel to ensure safe productive execution
- 4Oversee auguring casing installation spoil management reinforcement placement concrete coordination and drilled foundation construction
- 5Ensure installations adhere to specifications quality standards and project requirements
- 6Read and interpret project drawings specifications drilling logs and construction documents
- 7Coordinate daily activities with project managers customers inspectors survey crews subcontractors and suppliers
- 8Monitor production equipment utilization manpower budgets schedules and overall project performance
- 9Identify field challenges early and implement proactive solutions to protect safety quality and production
- 10Develop foremen and future superintendents through coaching mentorship accountability and leadership
- 11Maintain comprehensive project documentation daily reports production tracking and quality records
- 12Foster a safety accountability teamwork and continuous improvement culture
- 13Lead by example reinforcing R-2 core values daily
Requirements12
- 1Minimum 10 years of drilled foundation heavy civil or utility-scale construction experience
- 2Minimum 5 years of experience leading drilled pier foundation operations as a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent
- 3Extensive knowledge of drilled pier construction auguring methods casing installation spoil management reinforcement placement concrete placement and foundation quality control
- 4Experience managing large drilling rigs support equipment tooling and utility-scale drilling operations
- 5Strong understanding of production planning scheduling equipment utilization quality control surveying and project execution
- 6Proven ability to lead multiple crews while maintaining productivity quality and safety
- 7Excellent leadership organizational communication and problem-solving skills
- 8Ability to build strong relationships with project managers customers inspectors subcontractors and field personnel
- 9Demonstrated commitment to safety accountability quality workmanship and operational excellence
- 10Willingness to travel nationwide and work extended hours as required
- 11Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- 12Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
