Utility-Scale Field Quality Control Representative

R-2 Contractors seeks a skilled Utility-Scale Field Quality Control Representative to ensure quality assurance across utility-scale power renewable energy transmission and substation projects. What You'll Do13
- 1Perform daily field inspections to verify compliance with project specifications approved drawings and quality standards
- 2Inspect heavy civil earthwork underground utilities trenching concrete foundations drilled pier foundations and Horizontal Directional Drilling activities
- 3Verify layout dimensions elevations grades tolerances and completed work prior to acceptance
- 4Coordinate material testing field testing and third party inspection activities
- 5Document inspection results test reports deficiencies and corrective actions
- 6Monitor construction activities to identify quality concerns before they cause rework or schedule impacts
- 7Work closely with superintendents foremen project managers survey crews inspectors subcontractors and customers to resolve quality issues
- 8Assist with implementation of project specific quality control plans
- 9Maintain organized project quality documentation and support project turnover requirements
- 10Participate in customer meetings quality audits and project inspections
- 11Promote a culture of quality accountability teamwork and continuous improvement
- 12Provide technical guidance on quality standards and specifications
- 13Lead by example reinforcing R-2 core values daily
Requirements11
- 1Minimum 5 years of quality control quality assurance inspection or field construction experience in heavy civil underground utilities concrete renewable energy or utility-scale infrastructure projects
- 2Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction methods utility-scale concrete foundations underground utility installation grading trenching drilled pier foundations and Horizontal Directional Drilling operations
- 3Experience reading project plans specifications shop drawings testing requirements and construction documents
- 4Knowledge of construction materials testing procedures and industry standards including ASTM and AASHTO
- 5Ability to coordinate testing agencies inspectors and subcontractors
- 6Excellent attention to detail strong organizational and documentation skills
- 7Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic project documentation systems
- 8Commitment to safety accountability quality workmanship and operational excellence
- 9Willingness to travel nationwide and work extended hours as required
- 10Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- 11Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
