Warehouse Worker, Parts Handling & Forklift Operations
Overview
You will own parts handling and material movement for Overhead Door Corporation's Dallas facility, processing inbound and outbound shipments with forklift and power tools. You join a team of 12 warehouse associates reporting to the Operations Supervisor, moving 500+ SKUs daily. This role stands out for its focus on safety and precision, with PPE protocols and cycle count accuracy driving daily operations.
What You'll Do7
- 1Load and unload trucks using forklift and pallet jacks, moving 50+ pallets per shift.
- 2Operate band saw and circular saw to cut materials to specification for customer orders.
- 3Pick and stage parts for shipment, verifying quantities against pick lists to achieve 99% order accuracy.
- 4Perform cycle counts and physical inventory checks, updating counts in MS Office spreadsheets.
- 5Maintain a clean and organized work area, sweeping and disposing of waste to meet OSHA standards.
- 6Wear required PPE including safety glasses and steel toe shoes, and follow all safety protocols.
- 7Support receiving by inspecting incoming materials for damage and reporting discrepancies to the supervisor.
Requirements5
- 11-3 years of warehouse experience, including order picking and material handling.
- 2Ability to operate forklift and power tools such as band saw and circular saw (certification a plus).
- 3Basic computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Word) for inventory tracking.
- 4High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 5Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform repetitive standing, lifting, reaching, bending, climbing, and kneeling.
