Warehouse Supervisor Job in Las Vegas, NV | LS&Co
Overview
You will lead teams of 20 to 80 associates in warehouse operations, covering unloading, inventory, picking, packing, and shipping. You will direct workflow using SAP, WCS, and other multi-warehouse systems, while ensuring safety, accuracy, and productivity. This role reports to a Shift Manager and focuses on cost management, production planning, and team development. Unlike typical supervisor roles, you will actively partner with union leadership and drive continuous improvement from day one.
What You'll Do10
- 1Supervise teams of 20 to 80 associates to hit daily performance targets in unloading, put away, picking, packing, and shipping.
- 2Administer company policies and procedures, including CBU, time and attendance, LOA, and health and safety programs, within legal guidelines.
- 3Coach work groups to adapt to new workflows, explaining the impact of policies, regulations, and safety standards on their daily tasks.
- 4Track costs against ABP and conduct cost analysis to evaluate safety costs versus production goals, making data-driven decisions to close gaps.
- 5Direct production workflow using SAP and WCS, following computer control commands to redirect work and maintain flow.
- 6Set objectives and strategies for daily tactical planning, budgeting, and workforce requirements to maximize resource utilization.
- 7Develop performance measures for work groups, clarifying inputs and outputs to drive continuous improvement.
- 8Schedule daily work activities and allocate resources to meet production deadlines without overtime waste.
- 9Resolve conflicts by facilitating win-win outcomes, showing sensitivity to diverse team values and experiences.
- 10Partner with union leadership to address employee issues, ensuring compliance with collective agreements.
Requirements10
- 12-3 years of direct supervision experience in a warehouse or distribution environment, or a B.A./B.S. degree with demonstrated leadership skills.
- 2Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills, including clear report writing and active feedback.
- 3Proven conflict resolution skills that promote win-win outcomes in a diverse workforce.
- 4Ability to coach and develop team members, fostering a high-performance culture and encouraging autonomous decision-making.
- 5Understanding of order fulfillment processes and facility policies, with intermediate PC skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.
- 6Ability to learn and use warehouse systems such as SAP, WCS, Red Prairie, TranMan, and Laser Print.
- 7Experience in planning and forecasting production demands, allocating resources, and setting priorities to meet goals.
- 8Change-oriented mindset, adaptable to new processes and aligned with organizational priorities.
- 9Strong problem-solving skills, breaking down issues systematically and generating practical solutions.
- 10Willingness to work onsite in Las Vegas, NV, with flexible hours as needed.
