Warehouse Scale Operator, Industrial Laundry & Linen Processing
Overview
You will own accurate weighing, sorting, and labeling of hotel linens at a high-volume industrial laundry. You'll work with digital scales, barcode scanners, and inventory tracking systems to ensure every hotel's linen matches its order. You'll join a 30-person operations team and collaborate with drivers and production staff. This role stands out because full training is provided, and advancement paths exist into lead operator and supervisor roles.
What You'll Do9
- 1Weigh incoming soiled and outgoing clean linen using digital scales and barcode scanners
- 2Record weights accurately in inventory tracking systems and match labels to each hotel
- 3Assist drivers with loading and unloading trucks using pallet jacks and hand trucks
- 4Organize staging areas and move linen carts using platform carts and tuggers
- 5Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area following OSHA guidelines
- 6Follow company safety procedures and report hazards to the shift supervisor
- 7Audit linen counts against pick tickets and adjust discrepancies
- 8Coordinate with the production team to prioritize urgent hotel orders
- 9Train new hires on scale operation and labeling standards
Requirements7
- 11+ years of warehouse or production environment experience preferred
- 2Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- 3Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift)
- 4Ability to lift, push, or pull linen bags or carts up to 50 lbs
- 5Must be able to work weekends and holidays (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas)
- 6Basic math skills for weight calculations and counting
- 7Familiarity with scales and scanners is a plus, but training provided
