Laundry Wash Operator, Omni Nashville Hotel
Overview
You will operate and maintain the complete wash systems at the Omni Nashville Hotel, including the tunnel washer, conventional washers, and dryer systems, processing linens for a luxury property with 800+ rooms. You'll join a 12-person production team supporting a 24/7 hotel operation, with shifts covering weekends and holidays. What You'll Do10
- 1Maintain a positive flow of work on the production floor, ensuring all associates have the product needed to achieve production targets.
- 2Safely transport chemicals from storage to use areas, following all safety protocols.
- 3Sort, wash, and process all linens, including tunnel washer and conventional washer operations.
- 4Learn and follow all procedures for starting and shutting down the laundry facility in a safe manner.
- 5Keep the wash aisle neat, organized, and free of obstacles at all times.
- 6Shake out all linens that require it, and work in the chute area when needed.
- 7Clean the area and blow down all machines; clean all dryers at least 2 times per shift.
- 8Perform job functions safely according to machine and manager instructions.
- 9Maintain cleanliness and organization of the department at all times.
- 10Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements9
- 16+ months of hotel laundry experience required.
- 2Hands-on experience with commercial washers and dryers.
- 3Basic computer knowledge for operating automated systems and data entry.
- 4Ability to multi-task in a busy environment and follow through on manager requests.
- 5Team player with strong communication skills.
- 6Must understand and follow directions in the spoken language of the work area.
- 7Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- 8Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and push/pull carts up to 450 pounds frequently.
- 9Physical stamina for bending, stooping, squatting, and stretching, plus repetitive arm motion.
