VP of Accounting, FP&A and Controllership - Consumer Products
Overview
Own North America accounting and FP&A, guiding controllership, reporting, and strategic finance at scale in Boston. Lead monthly close, cash flow forecasting, and cross-functional planning with senior leadership. Partner with global teams on consolidation, transfer pricing, and enterprise standards. This role shapes pricing, margin analysis, and investment prioritization across strategic initiatives.
What You'll Do10
- 1Direct accounting operations across North America ensuring accurate general ledger and reliable financial records
- 2Guide the monthly and annual close process partnering with accounting leaders to deliver timely results
- 3Manage accounts receivable to strengthen collections and support working capital
- 4Oversee policies, compliance, audit coordination, and tax activities with external partners
- 5Lead the FP&A team in developing the annual operating plan, reforecasts, and financial outlooks
- 6Create and refine financial models, performance metrics, and variance reporting for decisions
- 7Maintain liquidity visibility by driving cash flow forecasting and optimize the cash conversion cycle
- 8Partner with executives on long-range planning, investment analysis, and prioritization of spend
- 9Shape pricing and margin analysis across the product portfolio and promotions
- 10Prepare executive and board reporting while aligning with global finance on consolidation and intercompany matters
Requirements8
- 1Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
- 2CPA and/or CMA designation strongly preferred
- 3At least 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience spanning accounting oversight and FP&A
- 4Demonstrated success managing full month-end and year-end close processes
- 5Background in consumer products, manufacturing, wholesale, or retail distribution environments
- 6Experience in multi-entity and multi-currency organizations with global finance coordination
- 7Proven ability to lead accounting and FP&A teams while influencing senior executives through clear communication
- 8Strong expertise in annual budgeting, financial reporting, and close management processes
