VP Legal Real Estate Blackstone
Overview
Legal and Compliance leadership role supports Blackstone fund formation attorneys and Real Estate Legal and Compliance team in New York. Candidate acts as nexus between attorneys and compliance functions while collaborating across Real Estate business units. This position drives compliance integration throughout fund lifecycle and provides operational support to investment teams.
What You'll Do11
- 1Draft and review private placement memoranda with institutional client groups and portfolio management
- 2Provide input on compliance and operations-related investor side letter provisions
- 3Liaise with AML teams on investor reviews
- 4Prepare and maintain fund-specific policies and procedures
- 5Oversee compliance function for acquisitions and dispositions
- 6Support fund accounting tax and portfolio management teams
- 7Assist with investor fund transfers and conversions
- 8Conduct quarterly compliance reviews with outside fund counsel
- 9Coordinate compliance meetings for investing funds
- 10Support preparation of regulatory filings such as Form D and Form PF
- 11Manage junior legal team members
Requirements5
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 26+ years experience in financial services compliance
- 3Strong ability to independently manage complex workstreams
- 4Detail-oriented process-driven professional
- 5Collaborative mindset with strong teamwork skills

$165 - $250k per year
