Overview
A rapidly growing food and beverage manufacturer seeks a VP of Food Safety & Quality Assurance to lead enterprise-wide programs. This executive owns the food safety strategy across multiple facilities and co-manufacturers, directly impacting product integrity and regulatory compliance. Reporting to executive leadership, you will build and mentor a high-performing FSQA team while partnering with Supply Chain, Operations, and Product Development. The role offers high visibility and the chance to shape quality systems during a phase of significant growth.
What You'll Do6
- 1Develop and execute an enterprise-wide food safety and quality strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
- 2Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing Food Safety & Quality organization to support rapid expansion.
- 3Establish performance metrics, governance processes, and reporting systems that drive accountability and continuous improvement.
- 4Serve as the senior authority on food safety, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
- 5Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, FSMA, HACCP, labeling, and allergen management requirements.
- 6Lead crisis management and product incident response to protect consumers and brand reputation.
Requirements6
- 1Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
- 215+ years of progressive food safety and quality leadership in food or consumer packaged goods manufacturing.
- 3Proven success leading enterprise-wide FSQA programs across multiple facilities and co-manufacturers.
- 4Deep knowledge of FDA, USDA, FSMA, HACCP, and GFSI standards, plus allergen management and sanitation.
- 5Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams and influence executive stakeholders.
- 6Strong strategic leadership, risk assessment, crisis management, and change management skills.
