You will shape the compliance program for a publicly traded global life insurer, partnering with the board and executive team. This role blends strategic oversight with hands on leadership across regulatory relations, risk management, and governance. You will drive culture of integrity and accountability while guiding complex regulatory change.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Lead enterprise compliance program and align with business objectives and ethical standards
  • 2Establish and maintain a risk-based compliance framework to identify assess monitor and mitigate risk
  • 3Monitor regulatory developments advise leadership on obligations and implement changes
  • 4Maintain productive relationships with state regulators oversee examinations inquiries reporting and remediation
  • 5Provide independent reporting to leadership and the Board on risks program effectiveness and regulatory trends
  • 6Partner with business leaders to integrate compliance into strategy product development and operations
  • 7Promote culture of integrity through policies training and leadership engagement
  • 8Support governance risk management and controls including disclosure and Board governance
  • 9Mentor and develop a high-performing compliance team and foster continuous improvement
  • 10Collaborate with executives to ensure regulatory expectations are reflected in enterprise risk management

Requirements10

  • 1Bachelor's degree required
  • 2Juris Doctor or advanced degree preferred
  • 3Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in insurance compliance legal risk or regulatory affairs
  • 4Minimum of 7 years of leadership experience in enterprise compliance within life insurance annuity or financial services
  • 5Experience presenting to executive leadership boards and regulators preferred
  • 6Deep knowledge of state insurance laws market conduct AML BSA consumer protection distribution governance privacy and data protection
  • 7Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 8Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with business-focused solutions
  • 9Ability to lead cross-functional teams on entity-level projects
  • 10Global business acumen and multilingual capabilities a plus
