What You'll Do10
- 1Contact volunteers by phone and email to recruit and schedule drivers for daily meal delivery routes
- 2Coordinate volunteer assignments to ensure adequate coverage of all meal routes
- 3Work with site checkers and staff drivers to ensure routes are picked up for delivery
- 4Communicate delivery expectations and procedural changes to volunteers and stakeholders
- 5Conduct volunteer orientations and organize community events following best practices
- 6Create delivery paperwork for kitchen operations
- 7Field volunteer phone calls regarding deliveries and volunteer logistics
- 8Relay recipient concerns to program leadership
- 9Recognize birthdays and milestones of volunteers
- 10Participate in monthly Produce On Wheels events and other community activities
Requirements8
- 11-3 years of volunteer scheduling experience
- 2Strong phone and interpersonal communication skills
- 3Ability to engage diverse groups effectively
- 4Self-starter who can prioritize multiple tasks
- 5Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
- 6Mission-driven and team-oriented individual
- 7Bilingual English and Spanish communication abilities
- 8High school diploma or associate degree preferred
