Volunteer Program Supervisor, Healthcare & Community Engagement
Overview
Own volunteer program coordination at a major hospital campus and scale community partnerships. Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and evaluation of diverse volunteers while guiding Guest Services Liaisons in the lobby. Collaborate with internal departments to expand service areas and measure impact. This role blends people leadership with program development to support Banner Health's mission.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build and oversee volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling to ensure smooth hospital operations
- 2Design and implement recognition and retention programs that meet annual department goals
- 3Supervise community volunteers and in service programs to align with organizational strategy
- 4Manage volunteer training processes including safety education and on the job training
- 5Maintain accurate volunteer files, service hours, evaluations, and regulatory compliance
- 6Develop new volunteer program areas by partnering with internal departments
- 7Participate in committees and cross functional teams to share information and drive initiatives
- 8Coordinate interviews, application reviews, and orientation for volunteers
- 9Oversee daily operational activities for volunteer services and ensure stakeholder satisfaction
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with at least three years of relevant experience in program management
- 2Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills for diverse groups
- 3Working knowledge of personal software packages and ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
- 4Ability to organize, prioritize and multi task workload
- 5Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintained for duration of employment
