VMI Support Representative, Aerospace Supply Chain
Overview
Own the customer's inventory and supply chain at Align Aerospace, ensuring parts are always available for major aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. You'll manage min/max levels, prevent stockouts, and solve real supply chain problems daily. Working directly with purchasing, warehouse, quality, and customers, you'll lead QBRs and drive decisions using SAP and Excel. This contract role offers high ownership and no red tape, making you the difference between a customer shutting down or staying operational.
What You'll Do8
- 1Own the customer's inventory, ensuring parts are always available when needed.
- 2Prevent stockouts and overstock by managing min/max levels and demand trends.
- 3Solve supply chain problems daily, fixing late deliveries, escalating shortages, and coordinating quality holds with internal teams.
- 4Work directly with purchasing, warehouse, quality, and customers to resolve issues.
- 5Analyze usage trends and forecasts, adjusting inventory strategies with SAP and Excel.
- 6Build strong customer relationships and lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
- 7Ensure contracts are executed correctly, supporting pricing, invoicing, and supply chain alignment.
- 8Identify cost savings and improvements, contributing to business growth.
Requirements9
- 12-5+ years in supply chain, VMI, inside sales, or customer operations.
- 2Strong Excel skills, including data analysis and modeling.
- 3ERP experience, with SAP strongly preferred.
- 4Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems fast.
- 5High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 61-2 years of end-to-end account management experience.
- 7Extensive experience with supply chain, including handling real inventory.
- 8Experience with aerospace or fasteners is a big plus.
- 9Customer-facing experience is a plus.
