Vice President Technical Operations
Overview
Vice President Technical Operations leads data center operations across the Americas portfolio. Reports to Senior Vice President of Operations. Drives consistency governance productivity and efficiency through the Playbook. Champions safety teamwork availability communication and knowledge. Develops maintenance quality control and safety processes for critical infrastructure. Partners with Learning Development and SMEs to deliver technical training. Leads event management root cause analysis and supports travel up to 50%. Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass comprehensive drug and background screening.
What You'll Do14
- 1Lead and coach Technical Operations team as STACK’s center of excellence for operations technologies and critical workforce development
- 2Collaborate with Operations leadership to enhance and evolve Technical Operations program
- 3Act as culture carrier championing safety transparency and candor
- 4Drive definition development and implementation of maintenance quality control and safety process changes
- 5Work with critical operations leadership on facility maintenance program and equipment/system operation governance
- 6Demonstrate technical knowledge of data center electrical and mechanical systems including power distribution emergency power UPS systems Building Management Systems BMS HVAC and fire alarm and suppression systems
- 7Develop and implement new maintenance standards to support evolving operational needs
- 8Ensure MOPs SOPs and EOPs are created reviewed and audited throughout maintenance lifecycle
- 9Lead quality assessment program documenting compliance with policies and processes
- 10Partner with Learning Development and SMEs to deliver technical training for data center critical operations team
- 11Lead event management and root cause analysis processes
- 12Create support documentation for critical operations tools and processes
- 13Champion people process and technology improvements to increase effectiveness
- 14Gather document best practices and act as change agent
Requirements11
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons leading data center operations programs in hyperscale environments
- 3Bachelor’s Degree required
- 4Master’s degree desired
- 5Proven success building organizations during rapid growth
- 6Ability to influence executive stakeholders and lead across complex dispersed organizations
- 7Experience evaluating and managing CMMS and BMS
- 8Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing priorities
- 9Success delivering executive level presentations
- 10Track record of successful leadership of technical operations initiatives and third party partnerships
- 11Experience developing high performing technical operations organization
Salary Insight
$229 - $264k per year
