What You'll Do8
- 1Place IV catheters and manage patient fluid therapy during procedures.
- 2Monitor anesthesia continuously, adjusting levels and tracking vitals for stability.
- 3Perform dental cleanings and capture digital dental radiographs for accurate diagnostics.
- 4Execute in-house laboratory tests including hematology, chemistry, and urinalysis.
- 5Prepare and position patients for digital radiography and assist with imaging.
- 6Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- 7Maintain accurate patient records and update medical charts in the practice management system.
- 8Support the veterinary team during exams, surgeries, and emergency interventions.
Requirements7
- 11+ year of veterinary technician experience in a clinical setting.
- 2Proficiency in IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and dental procedures.
- 3Experience with in-house laboratory equipment and digital radiography.
- 4Ability to lift and restrain animals up to 50 pounds safely.
- 5Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely.
- 6Current Veterinary Technician Certification preferred but not required.
- 7Flexibility to work full-time, on-site, including some weekends or evenings.
