What You'll Do7

  • 1Assist veterinarians with exams, procedures, and anesthesia monitoring during surgeries.
  • 2Place IV catheters, collect lab samples, and perform dental scaling.
  • 3Process lab samples and perform or assist with digital radiography and ultrasound.
  • 4Administer medications and monitor patient recovery and feeding.
  • 5Educate pet owners on preventative care and treatment plans during appointments.
  • 6Maintain cleanliness and organization of kennels, exam rooms, and lab, and ensure accurate patient records.
  • 7Greet visitors, answer calls, and schedule appointments as part of cross-training for CSR duties.

Requirements6

  • 1RVT or non-credentialed with strong experience in animal care and handling.
  • 2Essential knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy.
  • 3Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and interact well with clients and pets.
  • 4Availability to work weekdays or weekends.
  • 5Physical ability to stand for long periods, perform regular tasks, and safely lift 50 lbs.
  • 6Previous veterinary experience preferred, but willing to train the right person.
