What You'll Do7
- 1Assist veterinarians with exams, procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and surgery, using digital radiography and ultrasound.
- 2Place IV catheters, collect blood samples, and perform dental scaling in the first 90 days.
- 3Administer medications, monitor patients, and manage feeding and handling for hospitalized animals.
- 4Process lab samples and run in-house diagnostics to support accurate treatment plans.
- 5Educate pet owners on preventative care and treatment plans, and answer calls and schedule appointments.
- 6Maintain cleanliness and organization of kennels, exam rooms, and lab, and ensure accurate patient records.
- 7Cross-train for CSR duties, including greeting visitors and managing front desk operations.
Requirements7
- 12+ years of veterinary experience preferred, but willing to train the right person.
- 2Essential knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy.
- 3Strong experience in animal care, including handling and kennel management.
- 4Ability to stand for long periods, perform regular physical tasks, and safely lift 50 lbs.
- 5Compassionate, dedicated, and detail-oriented attitude with a love for pets.
- 6Ability to interact well with clients and their pets in a fast-paced environment.
- 7Availability to work weekdays or weekends.
