As the Veterinary Receptionist, you own the front desk at Indy's Place Pet Hospital, coordinating all client interactions and appointment flow for a busy San Francisco practice. What You'll Do7
- 1Greet clients warmly at check-in and check-out, answering all incoming calls on the first ring.
- 2Manage appointment scheduling using veterinary software, optimizing daily patient flow.
- 3Collect payments for services, including medical collections, and keep accurate financial records.
- 4Maintain detailed client records, update pet information, and ensure DEA and USDA compliance.
- 5Handle front desk administrative tasks: filing, data entry, and laboratory record keeping.
- 6Assist with animal restraint during client visits and minor procedures, ensuring safety for pets and staff.
- 7Communicate treatment plans and follow-up instructions clearly between clients and the veterinary team.
Requirements7
- 11+ years experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital setting preferred.
- 2Working knowledge of veterinary terminology and medical-surgical procedures.
- 3Skill in safe animal handling and restraint techniques for dogs and other species.
- 4Proficiency with veterinary software for scheduling, records, and billing.
- 5Strong customer service skills for clear, professional communication with diverse clients.
- 6Basic laboratory experience or familiarity with medical collections is advantageous.
- 7Understanding of DEA and USDA regulations for veterinary practice is a plus.
