Vein Coordinator - Houston, TX
Overview
You will own patient coordination for our vein program, guiding patients from consultation through procedure completion. You will manage insurance authorizations, schedule procedures, and support clinical staff, all while ensuring exceptional patient care. This role sits within a growing vein team at JF Southwest Heart Clinic and offers a Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends. You will directly impact patient experience and program efficiency, with room to grow as the program expands.
What You'll Do8
- 1Verify insurance benefits and obtain prior authorizations for vein procedures using eClinical Works.
- 2Serve as the primary point of contact for vein patients throughout their treatment process.
- 3Schedule consultations, ultrasounds, procedures, and follow-up appointments.
- 4Set up sterile procedure trays for endovenous treatments including Venaseal, RFA, and Varithena.
- 5Educate patients on venous insufficiency, treatment options, compression therapy, and post-procedure instructions.
- 6Coordinate treatment plans with providers, sonographers, and clinical staff.
- 7Maintain accurate patient records and track treatment progress.
- 8Assist with marketing initiatives, community outreach events, and patient reviews.
Requirements5
- 11+ year of medical office experience required, with prior experience in vascular, cardiology, interventional, vein, or surgical specialties preferred.
- 2Strong communication and customer service skills.
- 3Ability to multitask and manage a high-volume patient workflow.
- 4Familiarity with EMR system (eClinical Works) and insurance authorization processes.
- 5Spanish and/or Mandarin speaking is a plus.
