VDC Manager - Data Center Construction Tech Leadership

You will own the VDC program at Cooper Tacia General Contractors, a growing commercial construction firm in Raleigh, NC. You will implement and manage digital construction methods, integrate BIM processes, and lead innovation across projects. Working with project managers, estimators, and superintendents, you will establish workflows and BIM execution plans. Your role transitions teams from traditional construction to digital workflows, enhancing project visualization and field efficiency. This position offers the chance to build a VDC program from scratch and drive company-wide adoption of digital construction.

The 3D Field Capture Technician will conduct comprehensive site surveys using advanced imaging and measurement tools such as LiDAR scanners Matterport 3D scanners 360 cameras UAVs drones laser measurement devices tape measures and other specialized field equipment. This role captures 3D scans 360 imagery aerial surveys and organizes structured data to support client projects across diverse industries. Frequent travel across the U.S. is required with opportunities to work in varied environments from historical spaces to industrial sites. The ideal candidate is adaptable detail-oriented and skilled with various imaging technologies to deliver accurate high-quality data capture. Responsibilities include uploading collected data to designated platforms ensuring organization accessibility and compliance with client specifications. Flexibility in logging site data and adherence to written procedures is essential.

VDC Engineer leads electrical shop drawing production and coordination for construction projects. This role focuses on drafting detailed electrical layouts and ensuring field-ready documentation. The position supports project execution through accurate constructible drawings and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will own the full geospatial pipeline for construction and infrastructure projects, from UAV capture to machine control models. You will build and maintain machine control models for grading and earthwork, process point cloud and imagery data, and ensure survey-grade accuracy. You will work with a team of surveyors, engineers, and field crews, coordinating data flow between office and field. This role blends 75% office data processing with 25% field verification, including UAV mapping and laser scanning operations.
