3D Field Capture Technician Surveyor
Overview
The 3D Field Capture Technician will conduct comprehensive site surveys using advanced imaging and measurement tools such as LiDAR scanners Matterport 3D scanners 360 cameras UAVs drones laser measurement devices tape measures and other specialized field equipment. This role captures 3D scans 360 imagery aerial surveys and organizes structured data to support client projects across diverse industries. Frequent travel across the U.S. is required with opportunities to work in varied environments from historical spaces to industrial sites. The ideal candidate is adaptable detail-oriented and skilled with various imaging technologies to deliver accurate high-quality data capture. Responsibilities include uploading collected data to designated platforms ensuring organization accessibility and compliance with client specifications. Flexibility in logging site data and adherence to written procedures is essential.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and execute site surveys using LiDAR scanners Matterport 3D scanners and 360 cameras
- 2Conduct aerial surveys with UAVs drones and laser measurement devices
- 3Capture 3D scans and 360 imagery for client project documentation

- 5Upload processed data to designated platforms maintaining organization and accessibility
- 6Maintain detailed site logs following written procedures and deadlines
- 7Operate equipment safely adhering to safety protocols on commercial flat roofs and challenging environments
- 8Travel overnight and on-site frequently requiring adaptability to schedule changes
- 9Obtain Part 107 FAA Drone Certification within 45 days of hire
- 10Drive company vehicles and occasionally fly on commercial aircraft for work trips
Requirements10
- 1High School Diploma or higher education
- 2Valid driver’s license with clean record and reliable vehicle
- 3Comfortable walking standing using ladders and working in buildings without climate control
- 4Ability to lift 25 LBS regularly and 50 LBS irregularly
- 5Willingness to work outdoors and in unheated spaces
- 6Independent problem solving with strong technical aptitude
- 7Valid credit check with no felony convictions related to theft violence or dishonesty
- 8Proficiency in basic computing platforms and mobile applications
- 9Experience with drone operation and familiarity with FAA regulations
- 10Commitment to flexible scheduling and willingness to travel
