What You'll Do8

  • 1Operate LiDAR scanning equipment along pre-planned routes, maintaining consistent speeds for data integrity.
  • 2Drive a company vehicle safely on highways and job sites, documenting any interruptions or equipment issues.
  • 3Inspect, set up, and maintain scanning hardware in the field, reporting failures immediately.
  • 4Review collected point cloud data for completeness, accuracy, and coverage using GIS and GPS tools.
  • 5Organize project files per naming conventions and maintain detailed digital logs of field conditions.
  • 6Update project managers on schedule progress, delays, and technical issues via Outlook and Excel.
  • 7Lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs, and sit for extended periods while driving.
  • 8Coordinate with the team to confirm all required routes are captured and quality standards are met.

Requirements8

  • 1High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 21+ years of hands-on experience with LiDAR, GPS, GIS, or mobile mapping systems.
  • 3Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • 4Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook - for documentation and reporting.
  • 5Ability to sit and drive for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs for field setup.
  • 6Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills for field issue resolution.
  • 7Excellent verbal and written communication for team coordination and reporting.
  • 8Flexibility to travel to project sites and adapt to schedule changes.
