Urgent Care Receptionist Front Office
Overview
You will own front office operations at an AFC Urgent Care clinic, managing patient flow, insurance verification, and daily cash reconciliation. You will work with a team of medical staff and report to the clinic manager, serving over 200 locations nationwide. This role demands precision with patient data and compliance, and it sets you apart with hands-on experience in urgent care environments. High school diploma required, with 1+ years of customer service experience.
What You'll Do10
- 1Prepare the clinic for opening by reviewing the facility, opening all systems, and assembling patient registration packets.
- 2Greet patients, distribute initial paperwork, and collect insurance and ID copies.
- 3Register patients, update records, and verify insurance accuracy in real time.
- 4Follow procedures for workers' compensation and occupational medicine patients.
- 5Determine, collect, and process patient payments, addressing billing issues promptly.
- 6Discharge patients by collecting balances, providing documentation, and following discharge steps.
- 7Balance daily charges against system reports and complete cash control procedures.
- 8Complete closing procedures, prepare reports, and secure financial assets nightly.
- 9Maintain office supplies and ensure a safe, pleasant environment.
- 10Follow up with patients on reputation management and fulfill documentation requests.
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in Office Management is a plus.
- 21 year of customer service experience (required).
- 31 year of health insurance copay/coinsurance experience (preferred).
- 4Prior experience in Urgent Care is a plus.
- 5Hands-on experience with office equipment like fax machines and printers.
- 6Professional attitude and appearance.
- 7Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- 8Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
- 9Excellent organizational skills and multitasking with time management.
- 10Must relocate to Warrington, PA before starting work.
