Overview
American Traveler seeks a Registered Nurse for a Cath Lab Prep/Recovery role at a Level III Trauma Center. This position involves managing patients undergoing cardiac cath, structural heart, and EP procedures. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do11
- 1Perform Build and Scale tasks related to patient prep and recovery
- 2Design and lead Ship initiatives for critical care units
- 3Debug complex medical device issues such as Swan-Ganz catheters
- 4Drive optimization of EP device management protocols
- 5Manage IV drips and pressors with comfort using nitro and heparin
- 6Conduct post-anesthesia and blood pressure assessments
- 7Support site management for femoral or radial access compression
- 8Provide pre- and post-procedure care for cardiac and EP patients
- 9Collaborate with APPs and NPs for patient transitions
- 10Maintain compliance with safety standards and documentation requirements
- 11Ensure proper use of EPIC EMR and iSTAT monitoring tools
Requirements10
- 1Active RN license (NC or Compact)
- 2Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- 3Minimum 2 years of Critical Care PACU or CCU experience
- 4Comfortable with neurovascular checks and Doppler use
- 5Experience with IV management and pressor administration
- 6Site management experience for vascular access devices
- 7Familiarity with Swan-Ganz catheters and temporary pacing wires
- 8Ability to manage patients under moderate sedation
- 9Residence more than 50 miles from facility
- 10Previous employment separation requirement for Advocate Health Southeast
