Overview
Lead patient care in a high-pressure cath lab environment. This Registered Nurse will own pre-procedure assessment, intra-procedure support, and post-procedure recovery. The role ensures safety and procedural success alongside cardiologists and specialists.
What You'll Do6
- 1Assess patient allergies renal function INR NPO status educate on procedure and prepare physically emotionally
- 2Set up cath lab equipment prepare sterile fields and administer sedatives anticoagulants emergency drugs
- 3Monitor vital signs assist with sterile technique and respond to cardiac emergencies like STEMI tamponade arrhythmias
- 4Monitor recovery check insertion sites groin wrist assess complications and provide discharge instructions
- 5Document care according to hospital and cath lab policies collaborate with physicians technologists and nurses to maintain quality
- 6Participate in data collection equipment maintenance and procedural quality improvement
Requirements5
- 1Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing current RN license ACLS BLS CPR BCLS certification required
- 2CRNI preferred IV PICC HCP skills beneficial
- 32+ years in cardiac cath lab 5+ years as RN preferred
- 4PALS ACLS NIHSS CPI experience
- 51 year experience current PALS ACLS NIHSS CPI
