Overview
Lead patient care team in safety recovery and comfort as Registered Nurse supporting Chief Nursing Officer. Implement nursing process develop plans educate patients and advocate. Comply with CMS Title 22 CDPH DNV-GL/NIAHO standards. Provide healing environment prevent harm educate self-care report abnormalities and deliver compassionate care. Assist charge nurse plan delivery contribute to unit planning improve quality. Precept new hires validate competencies delegate tasks coordinate teams communicate expectations drive improvements. This is a union position offering competitive compensation.
What You'll Do9
- 1Assist charge nurse with shift planning and unit improvement initiatives
- 2Contribute to overall unit planning and continuous improvement efforts
- 3Precept and validate competencies for new hires and emerging procedures
- 4Teach nursing students and support cross-functional team development
- 5Delegate responsibilities to LVNs CNAs and other staff members
- 6Coordinate communication of expectations regarding interventions and reporting
- 7Manage exceptional events and relay critical information through proper channels
- 8Drive quality metrics and patient outcome enhancements
- 9Maintain accurate documentation aligned with regulatory requirements
Requirements11
- 1California Registered Nurse License with active status
- 2Certification in Clinical Specialty or Management
- 3BLS ACLS certification required
- 4PACU/SDS/GI Lab certification including AB508 within 30 days of hire
- 5NIHSS certification within 30 days of hire
- 6NRP certification within 6 months of hire
- 7Enrollment in Medical-Surgical Orthopedic or specialty program
- 8Minimum 1 year acute care clinical experience preferred
- 91 year ICU stepdown or ER experience preferred
- 10For cardiac cath lab: 1 year acute care experience preferred
- 11Additional certifications like ENPC Geropsych ICU/5S float pool may be considered
