Overview

The Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor will own on-site oversight for projects in the Greater Philadelphia area at a large scale. Lead daily reporting, safety compliance, and contractor coordination with a cross functional team. Be part of a national engineering firm delivering field supervision and quality control on transportation construction projects.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build daily progress reports and maintain schedules with contractor teams
  • 2Check shop drawings and contractor quotations for variations and cost implications 2
  • 3Prepare periodic progress payment claims and support payment recommendations
  • 4Supervise a staff of inspectors and coordinate field teams
  • 5Ensure compliance with contract documents and safety plans PHC
  • 6Verify materials conformity and verify contractor layout against plans survey
  • 7Communicate effectively in written and spoken form with stakeholders
  • 8Utilize computers and office equipment to document field activity records
  • 9Conform to PPE requirements and handle hazardous warnings when encountered
  • 10Travel as required to project sites and support project directors

Requirements10

  • 1High school diploma or GED and ability to read, write, and communicate in English and perform basic math computations
  • 2BS Civil Engineering or NICET Level 2+ in Transportation/Highway Construction or NECEPT Bituminous Field Certification
  • 3ACI/PennDOT Concrete Field Technician Certification or PennDOT/PTC CDS Certification
  • 4ECMS experience
  • 5OSHA 10-Hour certification
  • 6Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
  • 7Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, sit, and stand while performing field inspections
  • 8Experience reading contract documents and verifying material quantities
  • 9Onsite supervision experience for transportation construction projects
  • 10Valid eligibility to work in the United States
