Transportation Billing Analyst - UMG
Overview
We seek a Transportation Billing Analyst to lead UMG's US physical supply chain. You will monitor and ensure timely payment of freight invoices while supporting GL coding and dispute resolution. This role drives cost reduction and collaborates with supply chain teams to optimize logistics processes.
What You'll Do11
- 1Review freight invoices rejected for payment by audit providers and resolve discrepancies
- 2Ensure accurate coding for internal rebilling to UMG departments and label groups
- 3Submit shipment paperwork to facilitate carrier invoice processing
- 4Conduct audits of carrier payments through periodic reviews
- 5Generate and publish shipment reports and freight spend metrics
- 6Track shipments and submit freight claims with carrier follow-up
- 7Support bid requests and carrier selection for outbound/inbound loads
- 8Create documentation and schedule appointments within TMS and SAP
- 9Identify process improvements to lower total delivered costs
- 10Maintain communication with UMG Supply Chain and label groups
- 11Analyze carrier tariffs and transportation cost structures
Requirements11
- 13+ years experience as Transportation Analyst Logistics Analyst or Transportation Coordinator
- 21-2 years in customer or vendor facing roles
- 3Understanding of transportation modes and carrier tariffs
- 4Proficiency with TMS or order management systems
- 5Familiarity with BOL DR CI documentation
- 6Strong analytical skills and data interpretation abilities
- 7Excellent communication and teamwork across organizational levels
- 8High attention to detail and ability to locate information independently
- 9Experience in consumer products retail or e-commerce preferred
- 10Ability to prioritize tasks and manage tight deadlines
- 11Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
