What You'll Do9
- 1Act as primary contact for patient transfers and collect demographic insurance and clinical data
- 2Process transfer requests through Cerner Transfer Center and FlightVector systems
- 3Dispatch dedicated ambulances using Traumasoft based on patient acuity levels
- 4Coordinate with admitting departments to arrange appropriate beds and transport services
- 5Advocate for patients while ensuring compliance with confidentiality policies
- 6Analyze and resolve complex transfer issues promptly
- 7Maintain accurate records in Zendesk Connect and other healthcare platforms
- 8Collaborate with senior coordinators for air traffic and ground control operations
- 9Drive continuous improvement in transfer processes and protocols
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or GED required
- 2Completed EMT-Basic certification preferred
- 33-4 years acute care experience required
- 4Current NREMT certification preferred
- 5Proficient keyboarding speed exceeding 60 words per minute
- 6Experience managing multi-line telephone systems with 10 lines
- 7Strong detail orientation and multitasking abilities
- 8Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
- 9Knowledge of hospital standards and regulatory guidelines
- 10Previous experience in medical dispatcher or emergency medical services preferred
