What You'll Do9

  • 1Act as primary contact for patient transfers and collect demographic insurance and clinical data
  • 2Process transfer requests through Cerner Transfer Center and FlightVector systems
  • 3Dispatch dedicated ambulances using Traumasoft based on patient acuity levels
  • 4Coordinate with admitting departments to arrange appropriate beds and transport services
  • 5Advocate for patients while ensuring compliance with confidentiality policies
  • 6Analyze and resolve complex transfer issues promptly
  • 7Maintain accurate records in Zendesk Connect and other healthcare platforms
  • 8Collaborate with senior coordinators for air traffic and ground control operations
  • 9Drive continuous improvement in transfer processes and protocols

Requirements10

  • 1High school diploma or GED required
  • 2Completed EMT-Basic certification preferred
  • 33-4 years acute care experience required
  • 4Current NREMT certification preferred
  • 5Proficient keyboarding speed exceeding 60 words per minute
  • 6Experience managing multi-line telephone systems with 10 lines
  • 7Strong detail orientation and multitasking abilities
  • 8Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
  • 9Knowledge of hospital standards and regulatory guidelines
  • 10Previous experience in medical dispatcher or emergency medical services preferred
