What You'll Do7
- 1Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and air brake failures on tank trailers from day one.
- 2Perform TIG welding repairs on aluminum and steel components to meet safety standards.
- 3Install and repair trailer suspension systems to ensure alignment and load-bearing integrity.
- 4Conduct tank service and repair, including Hazmat inspections per DOT standards.
- 5Inspect tanks and trailers for compliance, documenting findings for regulatory adherence.
- 6Collaborate with the shop team to prioritize repairs and meet daily production goals.
- 7Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following safety protocols at all times.
Requirements7
- 1DOT inspection certification with tank trailer repair experience.
- 2Proven skill in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
- 3Experience with air brake systems and repairs.
- 4TIG welding experience on aluminum and steel.
- 5Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally 75 pounds with assistance.
- 6Must fit through a tank trailer manhole and work in confined spaces.
- 7Ability to inspect tanks and trailers per DOT standards (HM183, hazmat).
