Own the maintenance and repair of a fleet of trailers at NCT Truck & Trailer Repair in Dallas. What You'll Do8
- 1Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trailers, including brake and light systems
- 2Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using multimeter and diagnostic tools
- 3Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and safety concerns
- 4Repair or replace damaged parts such as brakes, lights, and tires as needed
- 5Weld and solder components using MIG welder and oxy-acetylene torch
- 6Ensure all work meets quality standards and is completed within shift hours
- 7Document all repairs and parts used in the maintenance log
- 8Communicate with lead mechanic on complex issues and prioritize urgent repairs
Requirements7
- 12+ years experience as a trailer mechanic or similar role
- 2Knowledge of trailer systems including air brakes, electrical, and suspension
- 3Experience with welding and soldering appreciated but not required
- 4Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods
- 5Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- 6Good communication skills
- 7Valid driver's license and reliable commute to Fort Worth, TX 76111
