Tower Foreman, Telecommunications & Rigging
Overview
Tower stack and modification foreman leads site operations for tower stacks, gin pole work, and tower modifications at heights up to 500 feet. You will oversee crews, interact with customers and vendors, complete paperwork, and report progress to the construction manager. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and timely delivery of complex tower projects. You will train technicians, ensure compliance with OSHA guidelines, and drive productivity and cost control within approved budgets.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and lead a crew to complete tower stack and modification projects on schedule and within budget
- 2Review crew work, provide training, and drive safety and quality improvements on site
- 3Coordinate with customers, vendors, and third parties to resolve issues and maintain progress
- 4Inspect and manage tower maintenance, antenna and line installation, and RF testing as required
- 5Track material usage, order inventory, and document equipment maintenance
- 6Schedule inspections, ensure quality control standards, and maintain accurate paperwork
- 7Demonstrate rigging skills for gin pole operation and tower stacking
- 8Read and interpret construction drawings, modification drawings, and RFDSA documents
- 9Communicate effectively with all stakeholders and represent the company professionally
- 10Complete JSAs, tailgate meetings, and team briefings to align on safety and scope
Requirements10
- 1Valid driver license and ability to qualify as an approved company driver
- 2Competent Rigging and Climbing Certification
- 3OSHA 30 certification
- 4TTT1 certification
- 5Connector training
- 6First Aid/CPR training
- 7DOT physical card (or ability to obtain)
- 8Background check and pre-employment drug screen
- 9Experience in tower/telecommunications industry and ability to travel extensively with overtime
- 10Ability to climb towers up to 500 feet and perform manual labor in outdoor environments
